Curation Team

  • Management of speakers: Researching, short-listing and identification of speakers during event preparation.
  • Brainstorm and propose brilliant ideas, not limited to T.E.D.
  • Communicate with the speakers regarding the TEDx rules and details of the event.
  • Hold discussion meetings with the speakers to craft out an "Idea Worth Spreading" and provide constructive feedback to improve their speech.
  • Work closely with Vice President, Event Management and Public Relations team.
  • Decide on the theme of the main event.
  • Coordinates speakers before, during and after the event.

Event Management Team

  • Decide on the date, time, location, no. of participants for upcoming events.
  • Floor layout plan, agenda plan, order food and drinks.
  • Coordinate and organise events.
  • Prepare floor layout plan, agenda plan, and food/beverages for events.
  • Placement of VIP, speakers seats, camera and computers during events.
  • Distribution of tasks during event day (e.g. Event Volunteers).
  • Plan an itinerary during events.
  • Conduct rehearsals with the speaker(s).

Logistics Team

  • Liaise with the Facilities Services Department to book venues for meetings/events or to acquire equipment (e.g. tables, chairs, signage stands, queue stands, microphones, clickers, portable stage, podium, etc).

Public Relations Team

  • Create awareness among students.
  • In charge of club advertising (e.g. Facebook posts, posters, etc).
  • Reply messages on all social media.
  • Promote all events via social media, class promotion and booth.
  • Brand the club as a high standard club.
  • Liaise with Design Team for design elements.
  • Liaise with Student LIFE to put up physical posters around campus as well as digital posters up on the Student LIFE TV.

  • Prepare sponsorship proposal.
  • Look for monetary sponsorship and in-kind sponsorship.

  • Liaise with potential sponsors through various platforms such as emails, phone calls and physical meetings.
  • Fulfil partnership requests that are made between partners (e.g. Booth, logos and etc).
  • Update partners occasionally (show them the booklets and etc if needed).
  • Maintain good relationship with current partners.

Treasury Team

  • In charge of finances during annual conference and other events.
  • Ensure club funds are P&C.
  • Advice on financial status and necessities of every spending by preparing budgets of the upcoming events.
  • Prepare financial statements every two months and allow the President to oversee it.
  • Liaise with Presidential Team and Sponsorship Team (to get fundings).
  • Record all fund transactions.
  • Manage member fee & claim form.
  • Tally the club funds every month.
  • Prepare physical opening/closing sheet for booth and all club events.
  • Record and store all merchandise stocks (e.g. T-shirts).
